Promotional and Marketing Products, Screen Printing & Embroidery

Our History

I had worked in the printing industry for other companies (specifically the printed paper part of it) for 9 1/2 years.  After a time of being a Children’s Pastor, a door opened for me to work for a screen printing company that was owned by a ministry and I worked there close to a year.  Then the company went through some major changes and I decided it was time to take a large step of faith and start my own company.  Cornerstone Graphics & Apparel started in June of 2002 when we got a job from a friend, who is a children’s pastor, to screen print some shirts for a church summer camp.  We had to come up with a quick name to get a license and a place to work from.  Working as a home-based business where I could have lunch with my family everyday was a great way to start..  We decided on the name Cornerstone.  We believe that Jesus is our Cornerstone upon who everything we own comes from Him.  I knew that if my business was going to succeed it would only succeed because of Jesus showing me His Grace and His favor.

It has been an exciting 8 years.  We have grown each year and we add new ideas and products each year.  My goal is to help you market your company, school or nonprofit organization in the best cost effective way.  It doesn’t matter if it’s a small home-based company just getting started or a large university that’s wondering what’s hot in the market.   Now with over 16 years in the printing industry, we can provide you with all your advertising and promotional products, embroidery and screen printing needs.

You may have noticed our sponsorship and partnership with Annabelle’s Wish.   Annabelle’s Wish is a great organization that works with orphanages in China.

In October, 2004, we lost our daughter, Kalaiah to a rare type of cancer. We adopted Kalaiah from China in 2000 when she was 9 months old.  We were fortunate to have her for 4 years before she died.   At Kalaiah’s funeral, I met Jeannie Butler, who started Annabelle’s Wish over 10 years ago.

In our tragedy and heartbreak of losing Kalaiah, we found a way to invest ourselves in the lives of orphans while we were waiting to adopt again.

We had always planned on adopting 2 children from China but put it on hold while Kalaiah was in the hospital.  After Kalaiah’s death, my wife and I started the paperwork in February 2005 to adopt again from China.

While we were waiting, God surprised us with a son.  We got our son, Zachary in November 2007.  He had just turned 3 years old in October.   He has been a blessing for us and all three of us waited for our adoption with China to finalize.  On June 9, 2008, we received our daughter’s picture and referral from the CCAA in China.   She was born on September 19, 2007 in the Guangxi Providence in southern China.

Since Zach’s adoption wasn’t final, he and I stayed at home and my wife bravely left for China on July 25, 2008 to pick up our new daughter, Emily Aurora Li Ling.   They arrived home safely on August 8, 2008 - the opening day of Olympics in Beijing.

Zachary and Emily are the best of friends.  God was and is always faithful and has blessed us with a beautiful family.

Thank you!
